Abraham Lincoln liked jokes. He liked to laugh. And he liked to make people think. He could make them think with a joke.

Once Lincoln was talking with some people.

He asked, "How many legs does a sheep have?"
"Four," the people answered.
"Right," Lincoln said. "Now, how many legs does a sheep have if we call a tail a leg?"
"Five," they answered.
"Wrong," Lincoln said. "It still has four legs, because calling a tail a leg doesn't make it one!"
