College Chemistry Bellringer: Nov. 16, 2021--Electronegativity and Chemical Bonding
Use the periodic table with electronegativity values to determine the electronegativity difference (∆EN) between each of the following pairs of elements and then predict the kind of bond that will be formed. EXAMPLE: iron, bromine. The electronegativity value for iron is 1.8 and for bromine it's 2.9; the difference is 1.1; this would make it an ionic bond.
