Learning Targets I can: 1. Define biology. 2. Identify and begin to describe the characteristics of living organisms. 3. Use evidence and reasoning to make a claim and write a scientific explanation. 4. Form a hypothesis in terms of the variables being measured. 5. Design a controlled experiment by changing only one variable to measure the outcomes of another. 6. Differentiate between independent variable, dependent variable, and controls/constants in terms of which variables changed, measured in an experiment, and kept the same respectively. 7. Differentiate between quantitative and qualitative data. 8. Create a graph in terms of the “7 Rules of Graphing”, and use the graph to form conclusions.
