The Crusader Bible, produced in Paris in the thirteenth century, is described by the Morgan Library as an important achievement of French Gothic illumination. The Hours of Jeanne d’Evreux was created by Jean Pucelle around 1324–1328 and was intended as a private prayer book for Queen Jeanne d’Evreux.
