Crossmatch (ABO, Type and Screen, Blood Typing)

Practice putting the procedure in the correct order!
Remember: Patient ID is the MOST important step in phlebotomy. With blood typing it is of even greater importance, so TWO PEOPLE check the patient ID! (Get nurse to sign 2nd line. One 7ml tube per 4 units of blood. Sign, date, time; form and label!) Double check!
