Subject/Verb agreement - 5th grade

Choose the correct singular/plural verb. The subject and verb must agree in number. A singular noun -bike- requires a singular verb -is. A plural noun -bikes- requires a plural verb -were. Remember the rules for compound subjects. Choose the noun nearest the verb.
