One major intention of mine is for the texts we study in this short class to be both literary/historical AND relevant to our modern current events. To that extent, how would you rate our readings?

One intention of the course is to emphasize the importance of African-American literature as necessary to understanding American literature, to understand that they are one in the same. Rate the level of success you think the course has achieved in this goal.
