    Capacity to use technology to create well written essays and research
    Capacity to use the "Five Stage" Writing Process of Brainstorming, Drafting, Editing, Rewriting, and Publication
    Capacity to take a Benchmark Measurement to show university level writing, research, and grammar and usage skills


  1. Students coming to AUPP must have these speaking and presentation skills:*
    Capacity to develop a problem and solution argument
    Capacity to use the Rhetorical Methodologies of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos in argumentation
    Capacity to work within a group to develop arguments for or against to support a topic
    Capacity to use PowerPoint to create their argument to present to a group
    Capacity to take a Benchmark Measurement to demonstrate university level speaking and presentation skills


  1. Students coming to AUPP must have these reading and metacognitive skills:*
    Capacity to read one page of a university text and outline five important parts that include an introduction and a conclusion
    Capacity to read a chapter from a university text and work with peers to pull out the five most important ideas
    Capacity to read and annotate a university text, which could be a page or a chapter and mark it up, make comments, ask question, draw graphics, and define new words
    Capacity to use technology to find good research articles of 5 or more pages to read and use for research
    Capacity to take a Benchmark Measurement to demonstrate university level reading and comprehension skills


  1. Students coming to AUPP must have these technology skills:*
    Capacity to understand or have use a program like Google Classroom or Canvas
    Capacity to use Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
    Capacity to search for material online in order to do an assignment or project
    Capacity to present information to students using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or a classroom projector and computer
    Capacity to take a Benchmark Measurement to demonstrate university level technology skills
