  1. Prior to starting this level 3 Spanish class in September 2021, I had...
studied Spanish for two years. I took level 1 and level 2 here at RHS
studied Spanish for three years. I did the level 1 class over the course of two years in middle school, then I took level 2 here at RHS
studied Spanish for three years at the middle school level (I completed the equivalent of level 1 and 2 in middle school)
studied Spanish for four or more years
never studied Spanish formally but did Spanish immersion programs in elementary/middle school or I grew up speaking Spanish

  1. Last year, in my level 2 Spanish class...
I learned a lot. I reinforced my basic skills that I learned in level 1 and I learned more Spanish. I entered this class feeling well-prepared for an intermediate level Spanish course
I learned a little. The remote classes were not very challenging and a lot of the new material that the teacher taught didn't really stick (I forgot a lot of what we had learned)
I barely learned anything. Even though the teacher taught and gave assignments, I just didn't learn very much. I entered this class unprepared for an intermediate level course.
I barely learned anything. Even though the teacher taught and gave assignments, I just didn't learn very much. The teacher did not give assignments or I was unable to attend online live classes due to difficult circumstances.
I did not learn anything. Even though the teacher taught and gave assignments, I did not learn anything. I entered this class very unprepared for an intermediate level course.
I did not learn anything. I was unable to do my assignments and I was unable to attend/participate in live online classes because of my circumstanceshough the teacher taught and gave assignments, I did not learn anything. I entered this class very unprepared for an intermediate level course.
I did not learn anything and I lost all of my skills that I had acquired in my level 1 Spanish class. I entered the level 3 completely unprepared. In restrospect, it may have been more appropriate for me to repeat a level 2 course before continuing on to level 3

  1. Over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, in my level 3 Spanish class...
my Spanish skills have stayed the same. They haven't improved at all, but they haven't gotten worse.
my Spanish skills have gotten worse. My reading & listening comprehension and my writing & speaking skills are lower than were during my level 2 class in spring 2021.
my Spanish skills have improved a little, but I don't feel ready for an advanced course (level 4 or AP Spanish Language)
my Spanish skills have improved a little, and I feel like could travel to a Spanish-speaking country and get by (communicate at a basic level to "survive")
my Spanish skills have improved a lot. I can see and feel the difference: my reading & listening comprehension and my writing & speaking skills are much higher than were during my level 2 class in spring 2021.
my Spanish skills have improved a lot. I feel confident and ready for a level 4 advanced course.
my Spanish skills have improved a lot. I feel confident and ready for AP SPanish Language (I'm ready for a challenge: I'm skipping level 4 and going strauight to AP Spanish.

  1. For me, learning Spanish is...
    difficult
    easy
    sometimes difficult, sometimes easy
    very difficult
    very easy
    I like that it's a challenge
too easy, I needed more of a challenge this year. I probably should have skipped level 3 and gone straight to level 4 or AP Spanish
too difficult, I was in over my head. I probably should have repeated Spanish 2

  1. For me, learning Spanish is...
    boring
    interesting
    not useful
    very useful
    fun

  1. The amount of homework we had this year in Spanish 3 was...
    too much
not enough (I think that more frequent practice would have been helpful/beneficial for me)
    just right
