End of year survey for students - 2024-25
- I wonder what lesson or unit most inspired you and why? Think back to what we did: feudalism, renaissance, Sci. Rev, Enlightenment, French Rev., Ind. Rev., Imperialism.
So what was the best unit or .... single, best lesson in a classroom period?*
- I’m wondering what was the best moment of the year and why?
I'm asking so that I can tap into those moments in the future. So, describe it and help me appreciate why it was the best. *
- I’m asking this question because your life is different than mine when I was 14-15. Matawan in 1986 was different than River Edge or Oradell, let alone changes in technology and society since then. No smart phone. No cell phone!
So, here’s the question: describe some of the low points this year. Did my class contribute to it?
I don’t want to make your life awful. Promise. But learning requires work. It can be difficult -- especially if you're not used to it. If I made your life awful, I am sorry.
Speak on the low points this year and how my class may have impacted it. *
- I'd like to know this: what I do well? Knowing that is huge. Please help me understand how I am perceived in my own classroom from the point of view of my students, from you specifically.
By knowing what I do well, I can thrive in the future.
Make a list. Describe and elaborate. *
- In what way has this course changed or refined your view of the world -- or not? As this is a World Civ class, I'd like to know if it impacted your view of the world.
Create a list of what changed in your mind, if anything. Then elaborate, please. *
- So, what are you thinking about life right now? You just completed a year of high school. What are your plans? What do you think? What are your concerns?
Does this course at all influence how you look at the future or your plans?*
- I just want to thank you for helping to make my last year memorable. Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey. Your feedback is invaluable. It's also a keepsake, a final act of my teaching career.
I appreciate you!!
