- This is a Yes-no question. Respondents choose yes or no in response to our question.*

- The Rating scale question can have responses ranging from Excellent-Poor, Strongly Agree - Strongly Disagree, A-F, 1-3. 1-4... 1-9, or any other rating scale we can come up with.
We could have the teachers rate the statement, "Students should be allowed to earn extra credit in their classes."*

- In a rating grid, we set the rating scale and enter two or more attributes for the respondent to rate. Here, a sample question might be "Each of the listed categories of student work should be factored into student grades."*
