KNAT Sick/Leave Pool Survey

Some years back, KNAT proposed a sick/leave pool to the members of the School Board and it was denied. Each year, the topic is mentioned. The members at the September meeting did not know if this topic is of interest to a majority of the members or a few. Your response to the following questions will help members determine if the plan is worth pursuing.

Definition: Sick leave pool – Teachers would “donate” a day or more of their leave days to a district pool. Teachers who have used all of their leave days would then be eligible to pull from these days without having their pay docked. The donation and criteria for eligibility would be proposed after researching and writing a proposal specific to the Knob Noster district.

We are asking if you feel there is sufficient interest in this idea for a group of members to conduct the research and make a proposal to KNAT for submission to the Board.
