Sp 2 Chapter 3 Learning survey

We are just about finished with Chapter 3 and have a chapter exam this week. This survey is intended to help you asses what you know and/or what you need to know to do well on the exam. It is also intended to help you set some goals for success on the exam. Your thoughtful answers are appreciated and will benefit you as well.

  1. Chapter 3 has two grammatical learning goals. The first is to be able to correctly form and use past tense verbs such as decir and haber (hubo) and verbs with spelling changes in the past tense such as construir, leer and caerse to discuss news events in the past.

  1. The second grammatical learning goal for chapter 3 is to be able to select and use the correct form of a negative or positive (affirmative) adverb (algo,nada,etc.) while re-telling or discussing a news event.

The learning goals related to using vocabulary in chapter 3 are to know expressions used when talking about news event, reactions (verbs) to the news, the responders to emergencies, what is newsworthy (people and events), how to discuss these events and to answer questions about what happened at these events.
