READ VERY CAREFULLY!!! The mural is well on its way to completion but in keeping this project student-only, the eighth grade has the ability to vote and decide on the image and meaning their mural will convey. This cannot be changed. Choose wisely! Select only ONE of the questions as "Yes" if you want it. The others, choose "No".

- “2010”. A year of great happening, an age of great accomplishments, but also the time of great despair. For this reason we have chosen to combine and mix these two different elements into one standing masterpiece. Along the chaos and rubble of the unforgiving and utterly destructive earthquake, our painting will show also the peace and friendship that has emerged from the numerous fissures in the earth, and the disagreements that have been sealed and long forgotten. This will be truly art. Beautifully expressed thoughts through paint and ink, never forgotten, and never taken for granted. This is really what “art” our school has been waiting to display to the public. Our only wish is for you to really feel the emotion and feeling just waiting to be put into this mural.

- Over a sky blue background, a Band-Aid over the world and multi-racial hands clasping around it. It symbolizes the earthquakes and helping each other in a world where race, distance, and language doesn’t prevent us from being kind. Repairing the aftermath of the 2010 earthquakes will be extensive and lengthy but will each other’s help, it can get done.
