  1. What Science topic or unit do you want to revise/update, need more background knowledge or just need more resources to teach more effectively?

  1. Which of these professional development opportunities would you like for Hanover to offer within the next school year? (Check all that apply)

lesson ideas on what integration looks like at my grade level
professional deveopment from teachers who have been successful with science integration

  1. What best describes you as a science teacher?
I feel well prepared to teach Science at my grade level.
I feel prepared but lack the time to teach Science effectively to my students.
I feel prepared but lack the tools to teach Science effectively.
When time is limited, Science is usually the first thing to get cut in my day.
I need more professional development in effective science instruction.

  1. What is your background knowledge in Science Literacy?
I use it and feel that I address the science and reading objectives equally in an integrated manner.
I try to integrate Science with Language Arts whenever possible but would like more concrete examples for me to access on Bb.
I know what effective Science Literacy looks like, I just lack the time to plan for it.
I need more professional development in Science Literacy.

  1. Which of these descriptions best matches your reason for not using FOSS kits more often?
I don't know what FOSS is or if we have any kits in my school.

I would like more professional development at my school or by corridor on FOSS kits that pertain to my grade level.
