Team Expectations
Please go through and rate last year's team expectation as to whether we need to definately keep, keep but change to better fit our team needs, or get rid of. If you would like to change the expectation, please write your comments in the given box below the question.

Expectation 1: Respect others as well as yourself and the surrounding property.
a. follow the terms of the golden rule: Treat others as you would expect to be treated
b. keep body parts and inappropriate comments to self
c. raise your hand and wait for the appropriate time to speak
d. respect personal property of others, this also includes equipment in classrooms.
e. respect and use of your planner as a learning tool*

Expectation 2: Be prepared for class.
a. bring needed items everyday (book, folder/binder, journal, paper, pencil/pen, planner, positive attitude)
b. Always bring your homework with you
You will not be permitted to return to your locker for forgotten items.*

Expectation 3: Come to class on time.
a. be in the door before the start of class
b. be in your seat at beginning of class.
You must be in your seat and ready to go or you will be counted tardy. *

Expectation 4: Follow directions the first time they are given.
A combination of collaboration and independant work will be carried out in your classes, it is important that you listen and follow directions, so that you can complete the task successfully.*

Ending Statement: You do not have to ask my permission to throw something in the garbage or sharpen your pencil. Just use your common sense as to when you do these activities.*

Consequences statement: Consequences of not following the above policies or meeting the above expectations will result in being written up (PAS sheet in the planner). In special cases: assignment of detention(s) or office-referral. All students and parents should refer to the Nagel Middle School Handbook in the student planner for discipline policies and procedures.*

Team 7-1 Late Work/Make Up Work Policy:
EXCUSED ABSENCE: Students are given 2 days for every day absent to make up work. LATE WORK (the student is present and fails to turn in homework): Students will recieve 1/2 credit on assignments turned in one day after the assignment was due. Assignments over one day late will not recieve credit.*

Extra Credit Policy: Extra credit will be given at the teacher's discretion. Extra credit will not be offered on an individual basis, but will be offered to the entire team, when appropriate.*

Absentees:
-If you know you will be gone, try to let the teacher(s) know ahead of time so you can get your assignments before you go.
-Homework assignments will be posted on Progress Book. Worksheets or additional materials may be picked up from teachers upon return.
-Make up work is to be turned in to the teacher within an appropriate amount of time after the student returns. (Please refer to student handbook to find out more about make-up work.)*
