FACS Advanced Studies Survey

- Ms. Byrd has explained that I now have a choice of whether to participate in the Graduation Project Symposium on April 7, 2009 and perform my FACS Advanced Studies Presentation for Graduation Project judges on the evenings of April 21 & 23rd. If I choose NOT to participate in the Symposium & Graduation Project presentations, I am still required to complete my mentor time, my product, and my portfolio by March 18th. In addition, I am still required to present my project by April 23rd, but will do so during the school day. Regardless of my decision, I understand I have to complete my mentor time, the paper, product, portfolio and project in order to pass FACS Advanced Studies.
By checking "Yes" below, I commit to participating in the Symposium and Graduation Project presentations on 4/21 or 4/23. If I receive a passing grade for the portfolio, presentation & product, I am eligible for the 5 point grade incentive & recognition on graduation day.
By responding "No" below, I understand I must complete my mentor time, product, and portfolio and have materials ready for my presentation by 3/18/09; however, I will not participate in Symposium or Graduation Project. I will perform my presentation in front of 3 judges during the school day by 4/23/09. I will not be eligible for Graduation Project incentives. I also understand Ms. Byrd will contact my parents if I respond "No" below just to make sure my parents understand and agree with my decision.
