AFNR Iowa CASE Institute

Potentially at the new FFA Enrichment Center at DMACC (10 days), this is NOT a commitment, just an interest survey.

We must have between 15 and 20 teachers COMMIT to an Iowa-hosted training institute.

  1. Schedule?? Picking times that work for everyone is always the most difficult task. Rather than tell when you "can" enter specific dates that you "cannot" attend. Specific dates will NOT work for you. (trainings will be from 8 am to 5 pm each day)

  1. Lodging?
    I will NOT need lodging for CASE. (l live close enough to travel to Ames/Ankeny/Des Moines area each day.
    I will need lodging for CASE...Super8 is OK.
    I will need lodging for CASE...Super8 is NOT OK.


  1. Proposed Schedule
    • 1 day at the Ag Ed Conf.
    • 1 day immediately after the Ag Ed Conf. (Friday)
    • 5 days in July
    • 1 day during the Iowa State Fair
    • 2 days in early fall, but after teachers start using AFNR to “hone” the training based upon authentic questions about teaching the curriculum to students.

    Compared to two weeks in a row...
    I like the Proposed schedule.
    I hate the Proposed schedule.
    I prefer two weeks in a row.
