a slightly used Pontiac Sunfire, dependable most of the time, but not up to anything too strenous.
a ten-year old Geo Metro that takes a while to get going, and sometimes works, but sometimes doesn't.
an old Nova that is never prepared for the task ahead and falls apart if asked to do much.
