Plano CUSD No. 88 Superintendent Evaluation - 2010-11 School Year
This evaluation form has been designed to directly reference Illinois State Standards for Superintendents. The standards emphasize the role of the administrator as an instructional leader. The standards are effective rules of the State Board of Education and are recorded in the Illinois Administrative Rules. Each of the Standards has Knowledge Indicators and Performance Indicators listed on the paper copy. The rating for each Standard should be determined from a review and analysis of both the Knowledge Indicators and Performance Indicators. 1 (C) = Commendable (Meets the highest expectations of the school district) 2 (S) = Satisfactory (Generally meets the expectations of the school district) 3 (NI) = Needs Improvement (Does not meet the expectations of the school district) 4 (U) = Unsatisfactory (Fails to meet the expectations of the school district) 5 (NO) = Not Observed (Not observed or not applicable)

The competent school superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of educational excellence that is shared and supported by the school community.

The competent school superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by advocating and nurturing a constantly improving learning environment and an instructional program based upon educationally sound principles of curriculum development, learning and teaching theory, and professional development.
