Interscholastic Athletics Survey from the POLICY COMMITTEE - Parent/Staff Survey - (copy)

The school's policy committee is reviewing the Interscholastic Athletic policy and wants to gather input about a couple of items in the policy.

  1. When sports teams are travelling, the coach should choose players that have demonstrated the best effort, skills and attitude to be on the travel team, regardless of the student's grade level.

  1. When sports teams are travelling, MIDDLE school students that are on the team should be rotated to ensure they all get equal playing time on away games, rather than considering their effort, skills, and attitude.

  1. The current GPA required to participate in interscholastic sports is 1.67 or a C- average. Due to our rigorous class schedule that encourages our students to reach high classroom expectations and succeed in their education, the GPA for sports participation should be a 2.0 (a "C") to reinforce these goals.
