Recommendations for State FFA Position(s)

Remember, ultimately the Iowa FFA Board of Directors will need to decide. Not all comments can be accommodated.

We HOPE to gather your positive, non-personal suggestions to help the association IMPROVE.

None (few) of us are junior high STUDENTS, please let us all act like adults to be rational and non-emotional.

  1. Decreasing employee expenditures may slow the increase of state membership dues.
    State dues are NOT important
    State dues should be considered.
State dues are VERY IMPORTANT to consider.

  1. I understand that position or positions hired will NOT have access to state-furnished: computer, mail, printing, phone or fax.
    Yes
    No

  1. I understand that to save dollars, MORE communication will need to be conducted electronically. (less phone/snail mail communication)
    Yes
    No

  1. I can accept utilizing our new FFA website as a primary communication tool...IF...it remains current.
    Yes
    No

  1. I see value in having ONE address to which all Agricultural Education and/or FFA checks are mailed. (i.e., FFA Enrichment Center)
    Yes
    No

  1. In meeting the Major Functions needed by the Iowa FFA Association.

Note: "Employee" may mean full-time or part-time

Please keep all responsibilities assigned to ONE person.
If less expensive, divide responsibilities across more than ONE paid employee.

  1. Example: A couple of other student organizations are paying community college personnel to process their finances. The respective boards still manage their funds, but a dedicated book-keeper writes and receives checks to/from their account, and records transactions. To prevent mismanagement of funds (embezzlement), college personnel and the CTSO Board oversee the book-keeper's job.

    I find this example ACCEPTABLE.
    Yes
    No

  1. Suggestions for improvement.

Please be BRIEF. A complaint with no suggestion is a useless complaint.

If you need to vent, stand with the chickens and vent-away.
