Transitional Jobs Legislative Changes Survey

The Joint Committee on Finance passed several motions that affect the Transitional Job Demonstration Project.

Changes to the program based on these motions are as follows:

1) Funding in the amount of $12,000,000 is approved.

2) All host sites must be for-profit businesses, and work crews must be placed with for-profit businesses.

3) In the case of a natural disaster for which the Governor has declared an emergency, preference must be given to any work crew placement or host site that is involved in natural disaster recovery. Host sites and works crews would not be limited to for-profit businesses.

4) The demonstration project will sunset on June 30, 2013.

Based on the changes to the program, please provide answers to the following survey questions by Friday, June 10th.
