For Freshmen and Sophomores in Spanish 3 Honors
- Are you thinking about taking AP Spanish Language next year?
- Are you aware that you can take AP Spanish Language for college credit through the University of St. Mary. (Your class at TG counts for credit at St. Mary's; most colleges and universities will take this credit as credits transferring in to their colleges.)
- If you take AP Spanish Language in the future, would you also apply to take the class for credit through St. Mary's?
- After taking AP Spanish Language during either your sophomore or junior year, would you continue to take advanced Spanish classes?
- Currently, the advanced course above AP Spanish Language is AP Spanish Literature. This course would allow you to take a test in May of that year, and if you score well on the test, many colleges would grant credit for an upper level Spanish class. Would you be interested in AP Spanish Literature?
- The Spanish Department is considering other Advanced Options. One would be a second-year college Spanish for credit through St. Mary's. This course might have some literature focus, but literature would not be the sole emphasis. Once again, many colleges and universities would take this course as transfer credit. If this were an option, would you take it?
- Of the two options, AP Spanish Literature, or a different course for credit through St. Mary's, which would you prefer?
- What are your thoughts about AP compared with / as opposed to credit through the University of St. Mary's?
- If we offer an advanced class that is not an exclusively literature class, what would you like to see in the class? (Do you have any ideas about the curriculum or the focus the class should have?) If so, write them here!
- Any additional input, feedback, or opinions you want to share? If so, write them here!
