  1. Who is your first choice for PRESIDENT?

    Olivia Hassell
I would like to be the French Club president because I love the language (somewhat of a code); I am a great event planner and have spontaneous ideas; I like to bring food to meetings; I am organized, focused and forthright; and I am open-minded and a democratic thinker.

    Morgan McCabe
I believe that I am qualified to be President of French Club because I have experience with leadership roles. I am currently Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook, a peer helper, and a member of SODA. These positions have been given me the abilities to work with groups, work on deadlines and set an example for others. I am not afraid to speak in front of large groups of people or to authority figures. I would enjoy being President and take pride in expanding Godwin's French community.

    Mirna Shaban
A French Club president is someone who is responsible, organized, creative, and works well with everyone. A French Club President must be passionate about what they represent, and pour their heart into everything they do. Well, I know I can be a great French Club President for the 2012-2013 school year because I am all of these things and more. I have the leadership skills and motivation to put my all into making this club fun and interesting for everyone. I work exceptionally well with everyone around me, and try to make sure that everyone's opinion is heard and weighed. I'm great at integrating new ideas with old, which I believe is an important characteristic in any leader. For example, our French Movie Night could be turned into Dinner & a Movie night where the club has dinner together, then goes to a free screening of an authentic French film during the French Film Festival. I give my all to things I am passionate about, & I am passionate about French Club, so I am certain I can make an outstanding Mademoiselle la Présidente.

  1. Who is your first choice for VICE-PRESIDENT - MEMBERSHIP?

    Stephanie Ghoussoub
French has become not only a language to me but a huge part of my life. This is my fifth year taking French and every year I become more interested and in love with the language. This is true because the language has so much to offer, and I know I can use it for the rest of my life. I would like to apply my passion for French and run for Vice President of Membership. If chosen, I believe I would be an amazing contribution to the club and fellow officers. I not only intend on keeping the traditions and legacy of the club alive, but I also want to improve the club with a school-wide activity such as a national cuture week or a new Frennch Pen Pal program. I have been involved in the club since Freshman year and understand the responsibility and commitment this requries. I am more than willing to step up and believe this would be a wonderful leadership opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. I hope I receive the honor as officer so I can continue to grow the club.

    Andre Haboush
As the vice president of membership, I will make an effort to maintain and hopefully increase the French Club membership by making sure that everyone is well aware of what is going on. I can and will dedicate my time towards the club in order to continue and improve our club. I plan on bringing reforms to our membership policy to let the busiest of people have the opportunity of being a member. I also would like previous members rejoin our club. My strongest belief is to make membership extremely easy on members. Working iwth other officers is not a problem for me since I easily can get along with people. Merci.

    Emily Palmer

    Lucy Zhang
I would like to run for secretary because I am a very organized person and I am good at keeping papers organized and neat. I am also pretty handy with excel and I can make really good spreadsheets. I take good ntoes and I am always on top of things. I also deliver bad news pretty well.
