Teammate Assessment - Hard and Soft Skills during Sportmaker Activity
In which we assess our teammates on his/her possession of HARD SKILLS and SOFT skills needed for a successful Video Game Design Team, as demonstrated when we worked together to make a board game

This person EASILY came up with TOTALLY ORIGINAL ideas for the game. They were super creative!*

This person was able to handle the materials we received to make our game (dice, balls, action figures, cards, etc.) in a MATURE and COMPETENT fashion. (They did not throw balls around the room, go off and play with dice, or get distracted by the objects in any way.) They actively worked to use the objects to create cool parts of our game.*

- ANALYTICAL / LOGICAL COMPETENCE:
This person EASILY took the FOUR FACTS of our global issue and broke them down into elements of a board game that would teach the player about our global issue. They were a great logical thinker and developed the details of our game easily.*

This person showed real artistic sense -- they created a game board and description poster that looked very good.*

- COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE - TECHNICAL WRITING:
This person EASILY helped with the WRITTEN WORDS to describe our game (on the "Game Development Form") so that others could read them and completely understood our idea.*

This person EASILY came up with a back-ground STORY for our game. (What was happening in our game, the story behind our characters, what the player was doing and why they were doing it, etc.)*

This person EASILY PRESENTED our game so that others completely UNDERSTOOD how to play and were excited to play it. They had great energy and made it sound fun!*

While we built our game, this person ALWAYS practiced ACTIVE LISTENING by either ALWAYS taking notes, ALWAYS asking questions, and/or ALWAYS clarifying what others said by repeating it back to them. They always paid solid attention to what others said.*

- COMPROMISE:
This person was INCREDIBLY FINE with not getting exactly as she/he wanted. She/he allowed other people to get their way a lot.*

- RESEARCH:
This person brought their finished High Concept RESEARCH FACTS to our team. They may have even spent time looking up more facts about our global issue, if we needed them, or bringing in items from home that represented our facts better.*

- RESPONSIBILITY:
This person really took OWNERSHIP for our game. They worked VERY hard to make sure our game was FULLY complete.*

- DEPENDABILITY:
This person could be counted on. If they said they'd do it, they ALWAYS did it. They made sure stuff got done and ALWAYS did their homework for our game.*

This person started EVERY work day at our table ready to work on the board game (not off at another table, off task, etc.). They worked VERY hard to make sure our game was FINISHED by the DEADLINE and did not need to be told to "get to work."*

This person was ALWAYS very positive, saying things like "We can do this!" and "Our game is the best game in class!" and "You're doing a great job!"*

This person was ALWAYS looking at what needed to be done and then moving to do it WITHOUT BEING TOLD. Maybe they said, "You know what ELSE we need...!" or "I'll do that" a lot.*

This person KNOWS she/he was important to our project completion. They didn't take on too much such as doing most of the work; they took care of themselves).*
