The purpose of this survey is to reflect on the instructional practices of the reading course of study in its first year of implementation. The survey results will be reviewed by the curriculum committee this summer and presented during grade level summer staff development sessions. Please complete ONE survey with your grade level partners.

    MANAGEMENT: How do you manage the 90 minute reading block? How do you structure small group instruction to ensure that you meet with multiple groups?


    SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION: Discuss small group instruction for students in advanced, benchmark, and strategic groups. How did instruction differ in each group? Was there an appropriate level of challenge in each group?


    INDEPENDENT READING: How do you make independent reading a priority during the reading block? How do you schedule it? How do you promote student accountability?


    TECHNOLOGY: If you accessed the online Lead 21 tools, please comment on your experience with it here. (group planning, ease of use, etc.)
