- Freshmen Advisors only: The Link Crew activities in the Gym and classrooms were meaningful and connected incoming frosh to other Drake students.

- Frosh Advisors only: Having seen a sample of the One Word Project in the office last spring, I believe the investment of time in having all Frosh take part is a beneficial component to building community.

- 10th - 12th grade Advisors: The classroom activities developed for periods 1-7 around the PIRATES themes were meaningful.

- The Frosh Walk from the Gym to Student Center was a great way to make the incoming frosh feel welcomed to Drake High School.

- Speaker Matthew Emerzian was very effective at getting kids to reflect on their unique importance to the world and on how they can make a difference as individuals.
