This survey is to decide on your topics for next year. You will need to do a speaking portfolio and a writing portfolio as well as a presentation in the course of the year to get all your credits.

    Next Year we have to do 5 conversations and 5 pieces of writing as well as a presentation. The conversations can be a variety of different formats with me/ with a friend/ over the phone etc.

    We could have topics that fit together in a single context for the whole year, but we don't have to.

    Here are a few options to consider:
    Create an information package for German exchange students coming to Pakuranga College.
    This could include:
    What our area and Auckland in general is like
    What you would recommend they go and see in Auckland
    What they should pack and bring with them because they can't find it here.
    What they need to know about Kiwi culture and customs so they don't embarras themselves.
    etc.

    or

    You are preparing to go on exchange in Germany and your exchange partner is coming here. Email your German exchange partner about various things and converse with them.
    This could include:
    Describing what their room is like & what your family is like
    Talking about plans you have for when they are here
    Describing your school
    Talking about what they need to bring with them for when they are here.
    Talking about German TV programmes you've been watching on You-tube and actors/ characters that you like.

    or

    Make an online magazine for PASCH students learning German in the Asia Pacific region. This could also include interviews/ film clips etc.
    What there is to see and do in NZ.
    What school is like in NZ.
    What is the deal with pocket money?
    Places that you would most want to visit in Germany and why/ what you want to do there.
    German food that you've tried and what you thought
    German music/ TV programmes etc. you could recommend
    Interviewing students who have been to Germany about their experiences.
