Unit 5B - Regional project part 2
Please vote for what you would prefer the second half of the regional project to be like by selecting "yes" for your preference and "no" for the other option. Since this does not affect your grade in any way, names are required to avoid students taking the survey more than once. Students' names and the option chosen will not be shared with the class. The option with most votes will be the option chosen for everyone. If you decide not to vote, you then can't complain about the option your classmates chose. IN BOCCA AL LUPO! Each option is decribed below. Please let me know if I can clarify anything for you.

- Option 1 - You and students in your group each decide on one dish per person from one of the courses on your menus (antipasto primo, secondo, contorno, formaggio o dolce). Courses should not be repeated (i.e. there should not be two antipastos).
Example if your group is working on Northeastern Italy, your group could present an antipasto from Val d'Aosta, a primo from Liguria, a Formaggio from Lombardia and a dolce from PIemonte.
If a student has chosen to bring in a cheese, then s/he must choose another recipe to present to the class that does not belong to the same courses as the other members of the group. If we follow the example that I have given you from Northeastern Italy, the student who chose to brin in the cheese, would then make a power point of a recipe of a "contorno" or a "secondo". Each student would then research the recipe and create a powerpoint with images that illustrate your recipe (ingredients and instructions) and you would then present your recipe with the powerpoint and students not in your group would take notes on each one of your group's recipies. Since the food is very different, this will give the class an idea of what the agriculture is like in your region and area. Each member will prepare his/her chosen dish and share it with the class on the day of the presentation (a spoonful for each person would be sufficient).

- Option 2 - You will be given a reading packet about your region and the products that are grown there. You will make a power point (with only images) to illustrate your presentation about the location, climate and products grown in your region and present pictures of dishes from your menus with the picture and the list of ingredients that you already have on your menu (you will transfer it on to your powerpoint). You should chose one dish from each of the following courses (antipasto, primo, secondo, contorno, formaggio e dolce - each on a separate slide) per student per presentation. No food need to be brought in.
