Imperialism
Read each statement below and then decide if country A was being Imperialistic, NOT Imperialistic or Uncertain if you are not sure. All of these events have taken place in history, but the names of the countries have been replaced.

- Country A, an advanced industrial nation, invades country B with its armed forces, is victorious and places the people of B under A's political rule*

- Explorers and pioneers of country A settle a section of the world which has no developed civilization and with the help of armed forces eventually dominate the native peoples and make the region a colony or extension of country A*

- Religious missionaries from country A establish missions in a backward country of the world, populated by native tribes and peacefully convert them to the religion of country A*
|
- Country A is attacked by country B. A war develops and country A is victorious . Country A takes over some areas previously ruled by B and puts it under A's political control*

- Country A sends technical experts and financial aid to country B and underdeveloped nations, so as to help B become industrialized and raise its standard of living*

- A minority group within country B is dissatisfied with the rule of the government. They revolt against their rulers. Country A sends aid to the rebels and help them take over the government. This rebel government establishes a new independent nation.*

- The people of a section of country A are not content under the government of Country A. These people are of a different race than most of A's population. They revolt against the government and declare that they want to establish their own country. The government of A sends the army to the rebellious section to put down this rebellion and succeeds in crushing the resistance of the discontented people*

- People from country A travel to country B to settle and establish a new life. They live there peacefully for many years. Eventually they become dissatisfied with the government of B. They revolt, succeed and then set up a new government under a new nation*

- A private citizen of country A goes to country B, starts a revolution and becomes B's new president*

- Country A wants country B to agree on a plan of treaty that would be very beneficial to A (such as military treaty or trade agreement). Country B's government does not want to sign the treaty nor agree to the terms. Agents of A get some unhappy people in B to revolt. A then helps the rebels, the revolution succeeds and the new government is friendly to A. The treaty or agreement previously proposed is not signed.*
