Assessing Supervision Competencies - 2012 Rater Version
As the manager, peer or direct report of a supervisor or lead, you want to support the development and optimal use of the many skills supervisors deploy to guide the workforce in reaching its goals. Along with specialized knowledge, these skills form clusters called "competencies". This assessment describes nine competency categories and many important supervisor or lead behaviors in each one. Please read each question. Then rate how OFTEN the supervisor or lead does what is described in each behavior. This is the most comprehensive and well researched assessment we've used at L.A. Care in years. The results will be very helpful in completing our required FY 2012 Performance Plan tool with its Individual Development section. Therefore it will require adequate time and focus on your part to provide useful information. Please allow at least twenty minutes to complete this assessment. PLEASE RATE EVERY BEHAVIOR LISTED FOR ALL OF THE NINE COMPETENCY AREAS. BE SURE TO WRITE THE NAME OF THE SUPERVISOR YOUR ARE RATING INTHE FIRST BLANK. Your ratings are both anonymous and confidential. The supervisor will not know how you rated with the exception of the direct manager of the supervisor. These ratings are being used for DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ONLY and are not connected to any evaluation of the individual's job performance. Please contact Mark Strunin, Director of Learning and Career Services at x 4133 with any questions. Thanks
