My name is Tony Trinick. I am Associate Dean Maori, at the Faculty of Education, University of Auckland. I have been contracted by the Ministry of Education to act as a National Research Co-ordinator for the QTR&D Project (Maori Medium) As a teacher participant in the project, I invite you to participate in this online survey. The results of this survey will be used as part of the data collection process to inform the research outcomes of the project. Please note that all participants will remain anonymous, when data is reported. Only myself and the research facilitators will have access to the raw data shared as a part of this research project. Part of the role of the QTR&D National Research Coordinator will be to facilitate a collaborative inquiry process to ensure that shared goals, protocols and practices exist across hubs. The key focus of all collaborative inquiry activities will be expected to relate to investigating and improving teaching practice with a focus on students’ learning outcomes within the designated curriculum contexts. Research information will be sought throughout the process of the project. This particular survey is to gather intial baseline data in regards to teacher participants.
