Brenda Harris - She has patience, understanding and compassion for the many children she works with. She tries to help each and every student in the Academic Support classes. In her Literacy Lab she helps the students more individually to succeed at writing and reading. The patience it takes to work with all the special needs is commendable. It takes a special person to help others who have learning disabilities.

Greg Toler - has been the life blood of Kennett computer network. He has come in early and left late all for the benefit of the entire staff from students to administrators. It is because of his abilities and calm demeanor that we function at such a dependable level. Over the last couple of years we have needed to replace two tech employees. This unexpected change has caused Greg to take on the added roles of mentor and manager. I rely on Greg's expertise to double check my own computer knowledge. He is an invaluable member of the KHS community and should be acknowledged for his efforts. - Dan MacLeon

Cheryl Cook - I can't even tell you how great it is to have a person that is always willing to help you or point you in the direction you need to go even if it is not her department or area she always is willing to help. There is not a day that goes by when I don't ask her for something, MWVCTC is lucky to have Cheryl. She is the glue that keeps us all together. She is always busy but always willing to assist me with anything. I am sure our department would agree with me that without Cheryl we would all be lost. SHe has a thankless job and works endlessly to help us all and I would like to nominate her becuase without her my first year as a teacher would feel impossible. - Kendra Veno

Sandy Hall - Sandy is art, a one of a kind. She is exceedingly dedicated to her profession and students. She not only works with a full schedule of art classes of all genres, but in addition on her own accord she provides materials and exciting art projects for the Job Prep classroom to work on throughout the year. She also has taught my students in the Job Prep classroom over the last three years how to prepare, create, and glaze bowls, mugs, and platters for the Bowls for Hunger Fundraiser for the Vaughn Food Pantry. This is such a valuable experience for my students it goes beyond art. It teaches my students how to be part of a team and responsibility for the working over a long period of time to make enough bowls in time for delivery to the fundraiser. Having spent time in her classroom working on the ceramics I have watched her work with her different classes. Her students come to class eager to learn and are actively engaged with their individual art projects. These students often need individual attention and even if it is a full class, Sandy always makes herself available to critique and offer suggestions to add to their pieces. Oh, did I also mention the amount of time she has spent in addition to her classes on writing, communicating and securing a grant to have a professional artist come and work with the art students at Kennett High School. The Kennett High School Staff, students, and community are very fortunate to have Sandy Hall for an art teacher. - Maryanne dunfey

Janet Krukera - Janet goes above and beyond for the students she works with. She is not afraid to jump into an improvisation game in theater or get up and dance in dance class with her students. She is always respectful of their needs and also respectful to other students as well. She encourages them and instills a sense of pride in their accomplishments. She is also a wonderful support to me in the classroom and is willing to help with anything. Even outside of my classes Janet is encouraging and has a wonderful attitude and plenty of school spirit. She takes great pride in her job and cares for all students she encounters. It is an honor working with her. - Holly Fougere

Kat Murdough: For leading our interdisciplinary project while I was on maternity leave. Kat taught material I would have covered so my sub. wouldn't have to (MLA, it's tricky business), and even graded all the work for both of our classes! Kat also made sure that my quarter two grades, namely incompletes, were taken care of. If that's not "above and beyond" and I don't know what is!

Cindy Davis: For assisting my sub. in all things curriculum-related. Cindy took over leading our PLC while I was on leave, made sure my sub. had materials, helped my sub. with planning, and even took over some of my grading on a project I didn't get to before I left (because the baby came early!).
