FSA Testing Schedule 2015

In the past we have created an FCAT schedule which provided a "stationary" approach of students until testing sessions were concluded each day whether they were testing or not. The rationale behind this "stationary" schedule was to avoid noisy hallways while other grade level students were testing; we need to provide the best opportunity for student success on these high stakes tests.

Right now, we are finalizing this year's schedule. I am seeking input from you to hopefully provide me with consensus on our plan for this year's FSA schedule. Please refer to the attached testing schedule within the questions of the survey.

  1. I prefer all students remain stationary during testing sessions.

    *Please understand teams and teachers have autonomy to be creative with your students while they are being 'stationary' during testing sessions yet not testing. Some examples are co-teaching using larger classroom spaces, teachers rotating into each other's classes, creating hands-on, quiet activities for review, etc.

  1. I prefer students who are not testing be allowed to change classes during testing sessions.

    *Please understand we will need all staff to assist in ensuring the students change classes quietly. This will include pro-actively "teaching" the students before testing weeks begin to move without talking and making noise, and we will need all teachers that are moving students to reinforce this expectation as well as help enforce the same at their classroom doorways.
