Please Check off one or more of the following positions you would like to lead! There will be multiple openings for positions. This is a great opportunity to gain both leadership and research experience. They are as follows:
president/co president: presidents are club organizers and goal-setters. They listen Eboard announcements and feedback, motivate, take criticisms and suggestions, and consult with the faculty advisor. Tasks include facilitating meetings, overseeing events, collaborating with the Eboard and faculty advisor, writing out meeting agendas and being familiar with the CUAM Ponics constitution. You will be the primary student representative for the Cornell University Aquaculture and Multiponics Research Group.
Vice President: As VP, your main focus will be on assisting and consulting with the presidents and maintaining sufficient communication between the Eboard and General Body members. You will also collaborate with the Publicity and Social chairs to increase membership involvement and oversee events.
Treasurer: As the treasurer, you will Collects dues, prepare SAFC budget, approve spending by the Eboard, organize plant, fish and bake sales and manage other funding/financial matters.
Secretary: As secretary you will take notes from Eboard and GBody meetings, respond to emails, and forward opportunities from other organizations
Research Chair: As research chair, your main objectives will be to manage weekend work parties, instruct and advise members on lab protocol, and collect data. You will also be responsible for managing the greenhouse Trillium Project.
Poster/Paper chairs: As poster/paper chair, your primary focus will be to statistically analyze data, reference relevant material, draw conclusions and hypotheses and, of course, create a poster and/or write a paper! You will collaborate with members in the both the research and poster/paper departments on development of the final project. Your work will be submitted for publishing or presented at CURB as well as at the Spring Bio Expo, and you will be published as a primary author.
Publicity Chair: As publicity chair, you will email out announcements of events including work parties and general body meetings, and you will post announcements on the CUAM Ponics website. You will collaborate with the treasurer on scheduling sales. You will also be responsible for bringing food/material supplies to meetings as necessary.
