Works Hours-Update

Human Resources has stated counselors will have teacher hours (8:30-4pm). Your contract states "This is with the understanding that an additional 45 minutes of work is being done after contractual hours either at school or at home. The expectation is that the contract is a PROFESSIONAL contract that requires a professional commitment to perform and complete the duties and responsibilities of the position of school counselor as set by the principal and school counseling educational specialist." Also, keep in mind any extracurricular commitments begin after your scheduled work hours. You may leave early or arrive late with prior approval/leave slip submitted (i.e. doctor appointment) or in case of emergency.
