End of The Fall Semester Date for Traditional Schools 2015-16

The current last day of the fall semester for traditional high schools is January 22nd. If we leave the date as it is, the EOC, NCFE, and CTE testing will take place on the Thursday and Friday of the week before and the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of that week. The Monday of that week is MLK Holiday and the Tuesday is a workday. We are looking at moving the end of the fall semester to January 15th. That would allow testing to be completed and the semester to end prior to the MLK Holiday. It would give the fall semester 87 days and the spring semester 93 days. If we have snow in the fall and need to extend the semester, we could use those days. PLEASE RESPOND TO THE SURVEY:
