Mid Semester Evaluation April 2016
The following is going to be used to help me improve my overall effectiveness in the classroom. Please answer as honest as possible.

- How would you rate your current understanding of incomplete dominant traits like: RW x RW which would give you a probability of a genotype: 1:2:1 and the phenoytpe: 1 Red: 2 Pink: 1 White.

- How would you rate your understanding that genetics is pretty complicated when concerning multi-celled organisms like yourself?
Could you tell someone that hair color is based on multiple genes on chromosome 14, 15 and 16? (excellent) Would you recognize that and be able to say that is correct? (excellent) Or would you be inclined to say that hair color is a single gene? (poor)

- Indicate your ability to understand poly-genetic traits like how hair type and color works*

- Did your teacher discuss how to read a karyotype, discuss mutations and how they work and the concept of meiosis.

- How would you rate your overall understanding of how DNA is located in chromosomes, DNA is transcribed/translated to make a protein and that we can often describe inheritance of DNA with a single allele (B,b) or with a genotype (BB,Bb,bb).

- Did your teacher provide a clear overview of the units as well as labs and other work to help practice DNA, Protein Synthesis and Genetics? Please try to put aside the fact we moved quickly due to 4 snow days. *
