This is a list of some of the movies we may have time to watch at the end of the semester. Please take the time to choose a few that you would like to watch. We will watch whatever gets the most votes.

    Ender's Game (war with aliens, child soldiers will save us...or not)
    After Earth (post apocalyptic future, Will Smith's son will save us)
    2001: A Space Odyssey (space exploration and an evil computer)
    Men In Black (aliens on earth, Will Smith will save us)
    Gravity (in space, no one can hear you scream)
    Pacific Rim (big monster aliens vs. giant robots = AWESOME)
    Real Steel (boxing robots)
    Monty Python and the Holy Grail (a less than serious look at King Arthur)
    Back to the Future (time travel with a Delorean)
    Hancock (Will Smith is not a great superhero)
    The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (good vs. evil with characters from famous literature)
    The Matrix (virtual reality and evil machines)
    X-Men (mutants with awesome super powers)
    Ghostbusters (ghosts and hilariousness)
    Minority Report (utopia/dystopia by arresting people BEFORE they commit crimes)
    Independence Day (aliens attacking earth, Will Smith will save us)
    Godzilla (1956 American version, giant monster attacking Tokyo)
    Avatar (Pocohontas with big blue aliens)
    Signs (I'm not saying it's aliens, but it's aliens)
    Spaceballs (spoof of pretty much every well-known scifi movie from the 1960s to the 1980s)
    Interstellar (space and time travel, rescuing Matt Damon)
    Galaxy Quest (spoof of Star Trek)
    The Martian (rescuing Matt Damon, again)
    Terminator 2: Judgment Day (murderous robots, time travel, Arnold Schwatrzenegger, what's not to love?)
    Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (pirates/zombies)
    San Andreas (massive earthquake, The Rock will save us)
    2012 (the world blows up, nobody will save us)
    Ladyhawke (fantasy, one of the movies Ready Player One references)
    Star Wars IV: A New Hope (1977--original Star Wars movie)
    The Princess Bride (you don't know this movie? Inconceivable!)
    The Last Starfighter (playing video games teaches you how to fight aliens)
