Questions Pertaining to Vocabulary Instruction Initiative, Writing Instruction, Summer Reading

- Regarding vocabulary, have you finalized your word lists, or are you still working on this step? How have your lists changed? What is/are the source(s) for the words?

- Regarding vocabulary, what instructional changes have you implemented this year? (e.g. number of words taught in a unit, how words are introduced, new strategies, etc.) Explain.

- Regarding vocabulary, have you begun to modify your summative assessments? Explain.

- What technology, if any, are you using to supplement vocabulary instruction (e.g. Quizlet, Vocabulary.com, etc.). Explain.

- Regarding writing instruction, are you using the core rubrics (argument, informational, narrative) that were collaboratively developed in 2015? Explain.

- What do you believe are our greatest needs regarding writing instruction?
