"TEXT"books vs. "TECH"books

In science class, the district is looking into replacing the traditional textbooks with on-line “tech"books. "Tech"books would be an on-line interactive resource requiring an electronic device (computer, pad, connected phone) and a wifi connection. Before making this move science teachers would like the input of the students who would potentially be using this new resource.

TEXTbook - traditional paper book
TECHbook - an online electronic resource that contains readings, audio clips, video clips and interactive activities.
