Character Education Plan - Pre/Post Test

This unit will teach students the meaning and importance of the following terms: character, friendship, citizenship, values, gossip, rumors, discipline, self-discipline, decision-making, slippery slope, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Students will understand these terms are important to be successful in school, work, and relationships.

Methodology: This unit consists of varied teaching methods including film and music critiques, hypothetical situations, group discussions, letter writing, community survey, community service, magazine articles, critiques of advertising, role playing, and journal writing.

Objectives: Students will define character education key terms and be able to apply them to real life.

Assessment Methods: Pre/Post Test, Community Service, journal entries, song lyrics, written discipline policy, debate, letter writing, community service, role playing
