  1. Research a form of media you consume (show, music video, movie, video game, etc.) and if there is any product placement. When you find a form of media that you consume that DOES have product placement or falls under branded entertainment reflect on the impact of this partnership. What have you noticed about the integration of this product and viewer's consumption? Do you see people doing spinoffs with the same product in their own videos and/or blogs? *


  1. Research and then summarize recent changes in audience size for at least three of the following areas: podcasts, movies, television, recorded music, network television, DVDs, radio, newspapers, and video games? *


  1. Research and summarize what you feel are three reasons fueling todays' rampant media convergence. Explain two example parent companies and what smaller organizations they own. Explain why you think the parent company chose to acquire some of the smaller groups. *


  1. Critics of concentration media ownership argue that these oligopoly's are a threat to our democracy. What is the center of their concern? Do you share this concern? Why or why not? (You need to research these parent companies and provided facts and data to defend your answer.)*
