  1. Rubric: Native American Indian Report (100 pts)

    Numbers 1-4 must be in paragraph form (5-6 sentences)
    1. Environment 20pts.
    - region where tribe is located
    - climate
    - major land forms

    2. Food 20pts
    - Types of food
    - Who obtained the food
    - Who prepared the food

    3. Clothing 20pts.

    - types of clothing they wore
    - materials they used for clothing

    4. Shelter 20pts.
    - describe the name and what the homes looked like
    - tell what materials were used to build the home

    5. Map 20pts.
    - Hand sketch the region of your tribe
    - Lable region on Map Key
    - Color region and draw representations of where your tribe is in the region on the map and on the map key. Also include major landforms, etc. for your map key.
    - Add a compass rose
    - Title your map

    *Note points will be deducted in each section if one/some of the components are missing.

    Native American Shelter Replica (100 pts.)

    1. Shelter matches the type of housing the tribe that specified (from report) tribe used. 25pts.
    2. Shelter matches types of homes for that region. 25pts.
    3. Outside environment matches that which is found in the particular region. 25pts.
    4. Creativity 25 pts.

    *Note: Parents may help, but students need to do the actual construction of the house.
