Losing track of time as I practice and really getting in to the music
Being in the energy of a concert and really feeling like part of a team.

  1. Which item below BEST describes your first experience playing in front of your colleagues:

  1. Rank the following benefits of music education that your teacher has shared with you in class. Mark 2 for the second item that you find motivates you the most to practice and come to rehearsal with your parts under you fingers.

I practice because others depend on me.
I practice because I enjoy the challenge of ATTATT.
I practice because I enjoy the sound of my instrument.
I practice scales because most of the more enjoyable and more complex music contains scales and scale fragments. This will make it easier later on, just not now.
I practice because I know that I am and will be what I repeatedly do each day. (Discipline)
I practice because I have school pride and I know NCMS has high expectations.
I practice because I want to get a real nice round of applause from my team.
I practice because I enjoy the respect I receive when I show what I know.
I practice because I like being mentally free to see where my part fits into the overall picture.
I practice because I enjoy conquering things I can't do right now and I know my teacher would never give me something that I could not handle.
I practice because I am on the World Stage and want to stay competitive and at level for when I move into HS and into University.
I practice so that I can resonate differently during band rehearsal.
I practice so that I can impress my friends.
I practice all the parts so that I can help others who might need it.
I practice because my private lessons teacher gets on to me if I don't .
I practice because I met the families of students that got full ride scholarships to University and I know what it takes.
I practice because I know that I will need to play well for our MPA and any recordings that we make.
I practice because it helps me think.
I practice because my parents make me practice.
I practice because I enjoy playing at Church.
