Gil's EST Cards for Spanish Speakers (AWL)

These cards will help you to learn 217 academic English words that are commonly used in science and technology. They were taken from the Appendix of Focus on Reading (St. Louis & Pereira, 2007). In my version of the Spanish side of the cards:

- a vertical bar (trabajo | funcionar) indicates a change of grammatical function;

- a semicolon (figura ; cifra) separates words that have the same grammatical function but whose meaning may be partially or totally unrelated; and

- an equal sign (lado = cara = costado) highlights that the words given are to some extent equivalent.
