0506G2 Past Tense forms of Regular Verbs, pp. 90-91

The German verb forms are given as follows: infinitive, simple (or narrative) past, and perfect tensen form.

Note that verbs with a be- prefix or an -ieren suffix do not take a ge- prefix in the perfect tense form.

Examples: Ich besuche meinen Freund. (present tense)I'm visiting my friend. Ich besuchte meinen Freund. (simple past) I visited my friend. Ich habe meinen Freund besucht. (present perfect tense) I have visited my friend.
