Periodically, you will receive an email alerting you to a scholarship or grant for which you may be eligible. Go to the link, read the "capsule" and apply if you fit the criteria.
2) Set up a ZINCH account: Go to www.zinch.com and set up a profile, user ID and account. This website can help you with college searches and scholarships, too.
3) Set up a "My College Quickstart" and a "My Road" account: This program is associated with a student's PSAT/NMSQT score administered in October. Once the student receives their printed score results, there is an unique access code on the score report that allows a students to set up an account. The site contains a significant number of resources that can assist students in preparing for college. The link is: www.collegeboard.com/quickstart The student's access code is on the PSAT report.
ACT and SAT TESTING:
The ACT and SAT testing dates alternate by month. Registration deadlines are usually about five weeks before the actual test.

ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY AND COLLEGE SPORTS: Students who wish to play college sports need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse if their school is a member of the NCAA, whether it be Division I, II, or III [see the link below "NCAA Eligibility Center."]. Please note that, effective May 2007, a student's ACT or SAT scores must be sent directly from ACT or the College Board. Scores on the transcript are not considered official. The student (family) can request those online by going to http://www.act.org and clicking on "send my scores." You have to include the date(s) of the score(s) you wish sent. You would want to send a "REGULAR" report. Fee is $10.00.
