Career Clusters
Career Clusters are 16 clusters identified by the Deptment of Education that are a group of related careers based on common interests and skills.

| Agricultural and Natural Resources | Careers involve working with plants and animals, many jobs are created by the government, such as the National Parks Service. |
| Architecture and Construction | The people employed in this cluster design and build roads, buildings, and other structures. |
| Arts, Audiovisual Technology, and Communications | This cluster is a variety of creative people that are painters, dancers, actors, journalists, producers etc. |
| Business and Administration | Most office employees are in this cluster; clerical, accountants, entrepreneur, CEO nad other management work. |
| Education and Training | This is a helping career cluster, jobs include: coaches, professors, teachers, principals, counselors, and teacher aides. |
| Finance | The money cluster, working with other peoples money: bankers, stockbrockers, tax preparers, and insurance agents. |
| Government and Public Administration | These jobs provide government services that include civil service jobs. City manager, legislator, local parks and recreation director, and even the President are this type of cluster. |
| Health Sciences | Physical therapists, doctors, nurses, dietitions, pharmacists all work to keep people healthy. |
| Hospitality and Tourism | This cluster focuses on making tourists have a great time. Chefs, travel agents, golf professionals, and concierges are examples. |
| Human Services | These careers assist others, they include social workers, and psycholisgsts. |
| Information Technology | Occupations revolve around computer technology: technical support, software design, run networks and other computer issues. |
| Law and Public Safety | Lawyers, firefighters, police officers, etc. are involved in planning, managing and providing judicial, legal, and protective services. |
| Manufacturing | They produce items for consumers. Machinists, welding technicians, and assembly line workers are unskilled, semiskilled and skilled labor positions. |
| Retail/Wholesale Sales and Services | Interior designers, realtors, clerks, and warehouse workers are involved in marketing, buying and selling goods alnd services. |
| Scientific Research/Engineering | Advanced college degrees are common among this field, they include: chemical engineers, mathematicians, electrical engineers, biologists, and oceanographers. |
| Transportation, Distribution and Logistics | These jobs move America: truck drivers, bus drivers, pilots, flight attendants, and traffic controllers all move people and cargo. |
